Various skills development opportunities are available to Atlantis Youth and the aim of the day to link unemployed youth with these opportunities. It is open to youth 16 – 35 years.

 

S&P Global Platts Global Energy Awards; New York: 12 December (Energy)

GreenCape’s Alternative Service Delivery Unit (ASDU) is a finalist for the Grid Edge Award of the S&P Global Platts Global Energy Award. In 2017 GreenCape established South Africa’s first Alternative Service Delivery Fund and Implementation Unit. The Alternative Service Delivery Unit (ASDU) is a dedicated off-grid management authority established to provide energy services to off-grid communities in South Africa. Directly linked to GreenCape’s vision for a thriving prosperous Africa mobilised by the green economy, ASDU’s vision is equal and unhindered access, for all South Africans, to an open, technically sound, socially inclusive and commercially resilient energy economy. FNF GreenPitch Challenge 2019; Cape Town, 12 December (Green Economy – all)

GreenCape and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF), in partnership with Invest Cape Town, an initiative of the City of Cape Town, invited innovators and entrepreneurs with economically viable green economy innovation business ideas to enter the FNF GreenPitch Challenge 2019. The Top 5 will pitch to a panel of expert judges on 12 December. Read more.
