Home 5 News 5 City of Cape Town to Present on Alternative Waste Management and Future Plans

22 September 2016

Since our last Waste Economy workshop, GreenCape has received many queries regarding the recent updates in the City of Cape Town. This coming Thursday July 31st, GreenCape will be hosting a presentation by Barry Coetzee (City of Cape Town) who will speak to some of the challenges experienced with the appointment of the Transaction Advisor, any updates from the City and the way forward. This event will provide an opportunity for engagement between industry role-players and government officials, as well a platform for knowledge sharing.

Taryn van der Rheede (Department of Economic Development and Tourism) will also present on the outcomes of the investment mapping study conducted by the Department of the Premier last year, as well as some of the challenges experienced while conducting the survey. Many of you are familiar with the study as you kindly shared your time and data with the appointed service provider.
